Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four dining rooms. A tinier Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa paddle wheel boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open all day and night, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river boat casino in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday vingt-et-un events.
Iowa casinos present an awesome amount of tax income to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the bankrolling of many state wide activities. Tourism has grown at a fast percentage accompanied with the request for processors and a growth in employment.
