Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing background to the Cambodia casinos that reside just over the border from nearby Thailand, where casino wagering is against the law. Eight casinos are anchored in a generally tiny location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a three to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing capital acquired from the casinos ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of restrictions constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; although, funding sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and although visas are for all intents and purposes needed to cross, there are ways around this, as is correct of many border crossings.

The first Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling den, contains 150 slot machines and 60 tables. The Naga river boat never closes with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown quickly opened. A total of 150 slot machine games and five tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machines and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slot machine games and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and 66 of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, also a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive resort and hotel building that highlights many conveniences accompanying the gambling den, which houses 10,000 square feet of 130 slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
