The grandest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an American Indian gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gambling space, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, like chemin de fer, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and several styles of poker; including three eatery’s, daily entertainment, and gambling classes. One more big Amerindian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slots, and fourteen table games. Additionally, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling dens, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a riverboat gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slots, and 14 table games. One more Iowa river boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river boat casino in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday twenty-one events.
Iowa casinos provide an awesome amount of tax revenue to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has allowed the funding of many state wide activities. Visitors have gotten bigger at a fast percentage along with the demand for services and a gain in jobs. Iowa gambling halls have contributed to the expansion of the economy, and the enthusiasm for gaming in Iowa is across the board.
